About

Bio

In 2011, on an impulse Julian decided that he wanted to be an actor. Diving headfirst into the Seattle film community, he solidified his spot amongst the working actors of the Pacific Northwest almost immediately. With no formal training or practical comprehension of the business, he landed consecutive roles in his first attempt at auditioning. The first was Matthew Lillard’s directorial debut, “Fat Kid Rules the World,” then came, “21 and Over,” where he shared the screen with Miles Teller and Skylar Astin. Julian went on to make his television debut on SyFy’s, “Z Nation.” Before even knowing what the Screen Actors Guild was, he was a working member of its Union. After booking a handful of commercials and other independent films, Julian dedicated his life to continuing this pursuit, packed his bags and headed eastward.

Just five months after making the initial decision to act, Julian received a full scholarship to The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Over the next two years, he studied film, television, and theatre acting while expanding his understanding of himself as a flat broke, aspiring actor living in NYC. After booking an Xbox commercial in Los Angeles, Julian used the opportunity as a catalyst to move his career back out west. He landed in L.A. and spent the next year building up emotional tolerance through repeatedly hearing “no thanks,” which became a surprising necessity for his personal and professional growth.

Quickly thereafter, he found himself back in New York. It wasn’t long before Julian started working his way up the television ladder, securing roles on shows like, CBS’s Blue Bloods, Madame Secretary, and FBI, NBC’s The Blacklist, FOX’s Gotham, USA’s Mr. Robot, and the list goes on. In between television gigs, Julian made his presence widely known across the independent film scene, working on projects for a variety of up-and-coming filmmakers, including The Women in Film Coalition of New York City. Recently he’s tapped into his comedic roots, getting the opportunity to guest-star in the hit MAX show “The Other Two.”

Julian is currently in post-production for his proof of concept, “IAMERICA,” that he wrote, produced, and starred in. It’s been a 7-year pursuit, and he couldn’t be happier with the outcome. He plans to find distribution, investors and build interest through the major film festival circuit. The goal is to get as many eyes on the film as possible and to get the greenlight to produce the FEATURE FILM hereafter. Ultimately for Julian, this movie is a leveraging chip to create more opportunities to continue making movies into the foreseeable future, expanding his ability outside of acting and into writing and producing as well.
